Sometimes we have to share - an event, a milestone, a thank you, a remembrance, a merger, a story...

It is said that the only time you get to see family is at weddings at funerals. Well, it appears true enough for me.
In 2015, when my dad, Andy Sinatra Turned 90, it was time for him to come live with Steve and me. He was a proud man, a hard worker, a Marine. He served in the South Pacific during WWII and was wounded twice in combat. He and my mother, Wanda were married for 62 years when she passed on in 2007. He was a joy to care for as he started each day happy, singing and laughing. Someone asked me not so long ago why people break into song. All I can say is because it’s in them and needs to be expressed, just like painting, drawing or running a race. My dad was one of those people...always a song which he belted out in operatic tenor and volume. I was fortunate to share this experience with the Makofske clan and Rob Massimiano this past winter. Maybe fortunate is the wrong word, but those who heard him stuck on repeat got their entertainment value’s worth! I’m glad a handful of our tattoo family got to meet him.
On the other side of that coin, our daughter, Dina DellaRuffa married her fiancé, Cameron Denton on May 18, 2019. It was bittersweet as Dina expected her grandpa would attend.
Tears of sadness; tears of joy..

With the rolling in of the New Year, the NTA Cruisers are pleased to be launching exciting, new things like
the release of our NTA Magazine. Let me point out that while we still refer to this publication as a newsletter,
our goal is to elevate the format to become an online magazine or ezine. It is our desire that this new format
will connect you, our members, with our world of Tattooing more immediately and closer than ever before.
We hope that our Online Magazine will be as swift or at least more informative than social media.
WE commend Peggy Sucher for tending to our Facebook Page and Anna Funk for our Instagram Page. They are
our social face and a liaison between the public, this newsletter and our members. Applaud and support them.
With these many changes taking place, we often look to cling to a secure rock and that rock is us,
Members of the NTA Cruisers. We remain a happy band of misfits and pirates [some things never change] and look toward a new horizon and new adventures. Please join us, follow us and help lead us into the future.
